New York City-based Freelancing Percussionist and Educator Colleen Bernstein stops by to talk about her portfolio career in New York and New Jersey, playing on Broadway, teaching K-12 and college, and the New Jersey Youth Symphony (04:45), her work with the Percussive Arts Society Diversity Alliance (26:15), growing up in Albany (NY), her piano background, and her experiences Empire State Youth Orchestra (34:00), and her undergrad experiences at Eastman (NY) and recording Robert Aldridge’s “From My Little Island” (54:00).
