Mizzou Masters Degree in Percussion Performance Graduate Emily Miclon stops by to talk about her Masters recital, Assistantship, teaching Percussion Techniques and Percussion Ensemble, and organizing the So Percussion residency (05:00), leading the Mizzou Student IDE Collective, performing outside of Mizzou, and playing a lot of new music (20:00), growing up in Connecticut, her piano background, having a life outside of music, being High School Class President, and her theater background (30:45), going to Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) for her undergrad and studying with Jeff Calissi (51:15), and getting to Mizzou, working under Megan Arns, and staying for a third year with other Masters graduates (01:09:00).
